Our Home is a community accommodation and support hub that works in line with Peterborough Council to meet the local sufficiency needs and the youth safety matrix.

 We provide tailored, strengths-based support, robust safeguarding and risk-assessment processes, and continuous monitoring to ensure young people’s wellbeing and placement stability.

Our accommodation at Marvel House features wonderfully sized double bedrooms, each designed to create comfort and relaxation — personalise and redecorate your room to suit your mood and make your stay truly your own.

Education/ Empolyment and Training 

We provide in-house training and work experience opportunities for young people, combining practical placements with accredited training programmes and one-to-one mentoring.

Our Home: Where Memories Begin 

Our home is a thoughtfully designed three‑bedroom house, enhanced by two additional versatile rooms dedicated to games and a therapeutic space; each area has been finished to a high standard with attention to detail—durable, calming colour palettes, generous natural light, non-slip flooring where needed and adaptable furniture to support a range of activities and care needs.  

Smooth move: settling in, sorted

The moving-in process begins with a referral from the local authority or, where necessary, consideration of out-of-area placements; each referral triggers a thorough, person‑centred assessment and a collaborative transition plan developed with social workers, families and partner agencies. Our aim is to resettle as many young people as possible back to their local area, minimising disruption and promoting continuity in education, health and family contact.

We at Marvel House believe that every activity can be a learning opportunity; our games room also functions as a coding and training space where young people learn about software, build websites and develop programming skills.

Coding/Gaming  and Softwear Training Certificate Awarded

We offer a 12-week  introductory coding, gaming and software training programme delivered by our in-house training staff; they design bespoke, targeted sessions tailored to learners' levels, from beginners to advanced, ensuring practical, industry-relevant skills and personalised support throughout the programme.

Creative Arts/ Performing 

At Marvel House, staff work closely with the local college to deliver a range of performing arts programmes designed to lead to a City & Guilds Certificate in Performing Arts; each programme includes a work placement that gives young people practical experience and a supported opportunity to transition into employment.

Functioning Skills 

Our tailored courses and on-site placements build employability skills, boost confidence and help young people develop CVs, interview techniques and industry-relevant experience. Working closely with local employers and community partners, we create a safe, supportive environment where participants can explore career pathways and progress into further education, apprenticeships or employment. We are committed to inclusive access and ongoing support to ensure every young person can achieve their potential.

Future-Ready Skills for Young People

We welcome everyone at whatever level they are at — even if you haven't completed your GCSEs — and offer tailored support to boost skills development, access to further education, training and employment opportunities. Our friendly team helps you identify strengths, gain recognised short courses and apprenticeships, develop CVs and interview techniques, and practise digital and workplace skills through workshops, mentoring and placements. We work with local colleges and employers to create flexible learning routes, progression plans and paid work experience so you can build confidence and move towards qualifications or jobs that suit your goals. Whether you're looking for basic literacy and numeracy classes, vocational training or routes into higher education, Marvel House provides clear steps and ongoing support to help you progress.

Marvel House 5‑Week Summer Training Course

Marvel House offers volunteering opportunities for young people and encourages our residents to take part in our summer five‑week course programme. As part of the programme, participants travel to London to work alongside our partner agency, Ocean Care Group, at the Supernova Centre, gaining practical work experience and hands‑on volunteering placements. This programme is ideal for anyone looking to build employment skills, boost their CV or considering returning to education, with tailored support and guidance throughout.

Young Tech Academy,

 We collaborate with Young Technicians Academy which  openedin 2021 in Yaxley, Cambridgeshire,  young people are refrered from Marvel House to progress, with any performing Aats skills that maybe identified during the 5 weeks Summer Course, this empwers young people to build better.This state-of-the-art facility offers education, training, hands-on experiences and recognised qualifications in the creative industries, arming learners with the technical, creative and employability skills they need to thrive.

Skills Devlopment 

At Marvel House we run a varied in‑house programme to motivate young people and develop their functioning skills. Activities include practical cooking sessions and financial management exercises, where one resident is allocated a weekly budget for food and a chosen social activity; the selected young person is supported throughout the week to plan, shop, prepare meals, manage their money and participate in their chosen activity. These experiences build practical independence, decision‑making, confidence and social skills in a supportive environment.

 Experience an Overnight Stay 

 Our admission and moving-in process is designed to be simple and reassuring: we offer an overnight settling-in process to reduce the anxiety often felt at this time. During your overnight stay you’ll meet other residents and our staff, experience the routine and facilities, and take part in one social activity so you can get a real sense of daily life before you move in permanently. The team will guide you through the paperwork and answer any questions, making the transition calm, straightforward and right for you.
